What are Wax Melts?

In short, wax melts and wax snap bars are a bit like a candle but without the wick.

Wax melts are small pieces of scented wax, available in an assortment of shapes and sizes, that are used by placing them in a wax warmer, also called a tealight burner.

To extract the scent you would place a wax melt of your choice onto the top of the wax warmer/tealight burner and switch on the device/light the tealight candle underneath.

This would then begin to melt the wax and release the fragrance.

Wax melts and wax snap bars are a great alternative for a candle due to the melting process. Unlike a candle, wax melts and wax snap bars don't need a flame (apart from a small tealight) to release the scent.

The wax doesn't disappear, the fragrance evaporates but the wax stays behind.

Once the fragrance is gone completely, you can simply replace the old wax with a fresh piece and begin the process all over again.

Unlike candles, you're not stuck with the same fragrance for very long. Wax melts and wax snap bars can be used up to 3 times before the fragrance completely evaporates, whereas a candle can take anything up to 6 months to fully complete.
